We have an exciting announcement for everyone. Buckle up!
On the 31 October, the Camp Quality esCarpade is coming to the Tenterfield Railway Station Museum.

What is the Camp Quality esCarpade I hear you ask. esCarpade is Camp Quality's iconic fundraising motoring adventure, bringing together participants from across Australia to raise vital funds for children facing cancer and their families. These incredible individuals collectively raise more than $1.2 million for Camp Quality each year, making a meaningful difference to the lives of thousands of children and family members impacted by cancer. One of the things that makes the event so special is its strong connection to regional Australia, and they are always looking for opportunities to celebrate the communities they visit along the way.

The Tenterfield Railway Station Museum has been chosen, providing a memorable and uniquely local backdrop for their breakfast stop.

As the name suggests, the esCarpade consists of vehicles 20+ years and older. Each vehicle registrant is required to raise a minimum of $5,000 and in 2025, this group collectively raised $1,082,819.
The participants will be departing the Railway Museum between 8.00 a.m. and 8.15 a.m.

Come and see the amazing participants and their vehicles, cheer them on their way and after their departure, enjoy a free sausage sizzle, tea, coffee and drinks along with free entry into the Museum.

TIME: Commencing at 8.00 a.m. followed by a free sausage sizzle, tea, coffee, drinks and free entry into the Museum.

Hello everyone,

Following on from the success of the October markets, our little 2nd hand stall is low on stock. If you have any good quality items, please consider donating them to our stall. All donations greatly received and appreciated. Proceeds go towards the operation of the Museum.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take any furniture or electrical items.

Come along to our Christmas market on Saturday, 5 December. Plenty of time to buy that unique gift and get on the front foot for your Christmas shopping.

A reminder for our non-DST States, NSW will be operating on DST.

Entry to the Museum is free for the duration on the market which operates from 8.00 a.m. to 12 noon.

A huge thank you to all our visitors who attended Tenterfield Station Railway Museum over the long weekend. Hats off to the organisers of both festivals, the Peter Allen Festival and the Tenterfield Spring Food and W**e Festival.

The Tenterfield Railway Station Museum's team of volunteers would like to thank you all; to say the markets were a success is an understatement, it exceeded all expectations.

Mostly importantly, the famous Sausage Sale Sizzle record was beaten and in spectacular fashion. The previous record of 184 was achieved in the June 2026 markets. Drum roll, the October markets…360! A record that most likely will not be beaten.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported us and bought a sausage or two or three or more.

The sale of sausages, drinks, 2nd hand stall items and entry fees will continue at every market just not at the crazy level of breaking the record. All funds raised from the sale are crucial to the daily operation of the Museum.

The Volunteers at the Railway Museum would like to thank all the lovely Stall holders that attended our October and Peter Allan festival Market Yesterday.
Was a great success and a huge day for us and we hope you all enjoyed the day and had plenty of sales. The weather was good to us as well.
Our December Xmas Market will be on the 5th of December.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all our visitors to Tenterfield and thank you for attending our spectacular Museum.

The Tenterfield Railway Museum opening hours over the upcoming long weekend, 3rd, 4th & 5th October are:

Saturday, 3rd October: 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. (this includes the markets operating from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.)
Sunday, 4th October: 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Monday, 5th October: 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

The Museum will be CLOSED on Tuesday, 6th October and resume normal operating hours and days from Wednesday, 7th October.

A reminder that DAYLIGHT SAVINGS commences on Sunday, 4th October at 2.00 a.m. so if you are visiting from any of the non-daylight savings States, please remember that DST is an hour ahead.

One week to go for our bigger than normal market here at the museum.
Come along and visit Tenterfield this long weekend and help Celebrate The Peter Allen and Food and W**e Festivals. But first come and amble around our Market Saturday morning which will be from 8am to 2pm and free entry to museum during this time.
We have a Coffee Van as well as some Food Vans at this Market only. Will still be doing our Sausage Sizzle and will have an extra one over near the trike shed.
On the rise near trike shed the NEVVCC New England Veteran and Vintage Car club of Tenterfield will have their cars on display.
The Borderline Regional Arts Association will be at the Engine Drivers Barracks too. Below them on the flat there will be more stall holders so don't miss them on your amble around.
