Oh what fun! 👐✨Yesterday was Day 1 of our September School Holidays Children’s Pottery Workshops, and what a wonderfully creative bunch they were!

Little hands got busy shaping, squishing, rolling and creating all kinds of wonderful things from clay. There were big imaginations, brilliant ideas and plenty of proud little potters along the way. 🤎

We absolutely loved seeing each child bring their own little piece of creativity to life.

What a beautiful way to spend a day! 🌿

Join our September School Holidays Children’s Pottery Workshop

The Stanthorpe Pottery Club will be holding their annual September School Holidays Children’s Pottery Workshop in the first week of the September school holidays.

Where: Stanthorpe Pottery Club, Eduardo Verri Park, 47 Wallangarra Road

Dates: Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd September 2026

Time: 9:30 am to 12:00 noon

Cost: $75 per student

N.B. Family concessions: Second child $70, Third child $65 and Fourth child $60.

Ages: Group 1: 8 – 9 years
Group 2: 10 – 11 years
Group 3: 12 – 18 years

The cost covers three morning’s tuition, clay, slips, underglazes, glazes and kiln firings.

Feature Artist ✨ Meet Sue Barnard of Last Leaf Studios 🌿

Five years ago, Sue made a tree change to the Granite Belt, creating a slower, simpler and more sustainable life surrounded by gardens, animals and creativity.

At Last Leaf Studios, Sue embraces traditional crafts and handmade methods, drawing inspiration from her garden, permaculture and the natural world around her. 🌱

With a love of handmade over mass-made, Sue creates thoughtfully and with a deep respect for the environment.

Her studio is a place of curiosity, creativity and constant making, where ideas are always growing and there’s always something new to discover.

Save the date ~ Australian Ceramics Open Studio ~ 7th-8th November

Members will be active in the clubhouse during the open studio weekend, and available to discuss the pieces they are working on.

Our club has a number of events to prepare for including a Christmas Twilight Market, and a major group exhibition at Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery.

There is also a group project underway to create totem poles for our garden. Our members might simply be practising the skills gained in a recent workshop, or working on a private Christmas gift.

Our Earth & Fire Gallery is open to the public. From practical pieces for everyday use to one-of-a-kind works of art, the gallery celebrates the creativity & talent of our members. It’s a wonderful place to find a unique souvenir of your Granite Belt visit, a special gift, or something beautiful for your home.

We invite you to drop in to browse or purchase. ✨
