Chris Eaton purchases threepence coins to turn them into unique earrings.
With the coins being over 60 years old, there is firstly the time-consuming task of cleaning each individual coin, then heating, doming and polishing. The earwires are Sterling Silver. The actual threepence coins are 50% silver! The threepence coins were Australian currency from 1946 to 1964.
