Wagner Contemporary- Australian Contemporary Gallery

Wagner Contemporary- Australian Contemporary Gallery Wagner Contemporary is strongly committed to and passionate about showcasing inspiring art. Wagner Contemporary opened in 2016.

The gallery is conveniently located in the heart of the Paddington Arts Precinct and promotes the quality and diversity of Australian and International artistic practice. Our vision reflects a strong focus on early career artists, including a strong component of female artists, each pushing their practice across a range of media and genres. The gallery’s stockroom boasts a stable of leading contem

porary artists. Nadine Wagner, a second-generation gallerist and the Gallery Director, is strongly committed to and passionate about presenting exciting early career artists and high-calibre solo exhibitions by Australian artists on a monthly basis. Her vision follows a continuum of thought which has informed 25-years of gallery management and directorship. Many of the gallery’s artists are represented in national, State and regional collections and are frequently selected for major art prizes and awards.

Albert Hill is a British - Australian artist whose work bridges the industrial legacy of northern England with a stark, modern minimalism rooted in human resilience. Having spent formative years in the -North East - immersed in the steel mills, shipyards and weather beaten architecture of the region- Hill’s art reflects a deep fascination with texture, decay and the endurance of structure.
