'Untamed' is now showing at Orange Regional Museum!

This year more than 2500 students have helped to create a wild and weedy collaborative art installation while learning about the impact of weeds in our region and how we can protect biodiversity close to home.

'Untamed' is a partnership between Orange Regional Museum, Orange Regional Gallery and 19 local public primary schools.

FORG Members Event - Exploring Colour with Bradley Hammond.

Join Gallery Director, Bradley Hammond for an exploration of the world of colour. Brad will present a brief introduction to colour perception and provide examples of how colour is used in art to convey meaning and emotion.

5:30 for 6pm start, Thursday 27 August 2026.

Vale Frannie Hopkirk.

It is with sadness that all of us at Orange Regional Gallery acknowledge the passing of Frannie Hopkirk.

Frannie was a long-time resident of the nearby village of Millthorpe and one of the Gallery’s great supporters. She was a gifted writer, poet and sister of artist Brett Whiteley.

Frannie was a great friend to many in our community. Anyone who met her, wouldn’t forget her. We enjoyed her insightful humour, her passion for art and writing, and her generosity.

Her presence will be deeply missed and our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this time.

It’s that time again! Submissions are now open for our much-loved community exhibition ‘HERE/NOW’

We encourage all artists over the age of 16 living in the LGAs of Orange, Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan Shire, Lithgow, Oberon, Parkes and Weddin Shire to submit up to two new or recent works that have not been exhibited before. The Gallery team will select one work to be exhibited.

Please note that the submission process is digital and criteria has changed. Visit the link in the comments for more information or get in touch to arrange a non-digital submission.

Introducing Wonder Baby, a new fortnightly program for parents and caregivers of babies up to 12 months old.
Discover our exhibitions through a relaxed baby-friendly tour followed by Gallery tummy time for your baby on our cosy rugs and cushions. Wonder Baby offers an opportunity to connect with art, each other and yourself while also providing time and space to stop, feed and cuddle your baby.

This is a free program. Spaces are limited and bookings are essential. Please head to our Eventbrite page for more details and to book in for our first session from 10am – 11am Tuesday 21 July with ‘Nike Savvas: Purple Haze’.
