Time to reintroduce ourselves for all the new faces on here👋🏽 We are Vaughan and Katie. We founded Studio P nearly 6 years ago. It all started in a garage that Vaughan had set up as a pottery studio. He had been wheel throwing for a few years, when he started teaching Katie and other friends. Quite quickly we outgrew the garage space as more people became interested in learning all things pottery. Our vision was to find a space and set it up as a community studio where we could not only run workshops and classes but that would allow open access to equipment for people. To make it short: we found a beautiful light filled warehouse space in the midst of the pandamic, started teaching classes from there and slowly our membership community grew. Our lease ended at the end of last year, so we found another light filled warehouse space and moved the studio with the help of all our members!
We are grateful for the community that Studio P has become. We have met so many incredible people in the last 6 years from all different walks of life that shared one passion: ceramics! We feel this sense of community every time we take a step into the studio, seeing members work together, help each other, create friendships! We feel the support of the wider community every time we host our pottery markets! it’s been an epic journey shaped by the people that have set foot into the studio over the years! Here is to many more laughs and memories shared over making pots!
