Collab Zine: LAST MINUTE is a jam for people to get their submissions in for the collab zine, the zine that is only available at Hallozeen zine fair as a trade or as a freebie for participants. Join us for some body doubling and deadline hype from 2-4pm tomorrow at Sticky Institute.

A celebration of DIY and gathering of writers, print-makers, scanners, poets, drawings, artists and makers of all kinds.

📓📓📓📓📓START DREAMING UP YOUR ZINE!

A zine is an inherently political tool of self expression spreading messages of politics, poetry, practical tips and broken hearts for centuries. Piracy does not exist in the world of zines, and zines hold significant history in spreading revolutionary propaganda. Zines are a cure against registered authorship; it can be a self-published story, comic, poster, single-page drawing, open letter, photo journal, flip book, brochure, postcard, sticker, manifesto, audio-zine, web-zine etc… The model for making is DIY and you don’t need any experience as a writer, artist or human being.

Zine Fest: Tuesday 20 June - Friday 23 June

Ahead of the Zine Fair, WTS office will also become an autonomous zine-making space (open each day 10am — 7pm).

Plus each night the space will host a collaborative making session or workshop facilitated by local artists and zine makers.

The collab zine is only available at Hallozeen zine fair as a trade or as a freebie to participants of the collab. Make a page about the poster characters and drop it into the submission box at Sticky before 5pm 17th October. There'll be a LAST MINUTE jam at Sticky 2-4pm on Saturday 17th October.

It's drawing night tonight at Squishface Studio!

If you want more advance notice for our events, join our Meetup page (link in bio)!

Join us at Squishface's studio space in South Melbourne: Studio Hall, on the grounds of St Kilda South Port Uniting Church on Dorcas St. There are FOUR TRAMS you can catch from the city. 58, 96, 12 or the 1! It is even walkable from the city.

Bring your sketch books, bring your pens, bring a friend. It's not a class - it's a drawing hang out. All skill levels welcome. Always lots of regulars, always newies. Be socially awkward, be confident as heck. This is informal, it's just a free drawing session.

Go ahead and bring snacks. But no nuts please!
Our venue is wheelchair accessible, as are the very toilets.
Minors are welcome but will need an accompanying adult.
