Day 3 photos of the Goldfields Gothic: Festival of Dark Ideas. Many things happening on the day from the 4th hearse nationals, to the fashion parade for pets and people, with more music acts as well including the Maldon Brass Band. A good news story out of the Goldfields Gothic: Festival of Dark Ideas…. Congratulations to Jez and and Katie who are now engaged. They had met and acted in a play for last years festival, this year is their first anniversary. In the background Jez planned this moment much to Katie’s surprise! We wish you the best for the future and maybe just maybe a wedding next year?

And that’s a wrap on the 2026 Goldfields Gothic: Festival of Dark Ideas… thank you for to everyone for supporting and attending this event. A shout out for the positive energy and thank yous! It’s fantastic to know you value our team. For the first timers we hope you return next year and to the returning thank you for your continued support! We certainly had a great time. For now it’s a small sample of the nearly 4000 photos…. Yes that’s correct! In due time there will be some more added. To the small team who put it all together, we hope you have your feet up with a well earned drink!

It’s day 3 of the Goldfields Gothic: Festival of Dark Ideas. Picnic is well underway and the fashion parade not too far off at the museum. One part gin are on now with the heavy choir and the Maldon Brass Band band on after the parade.
The hearses have had their parade and are now on display at museum.

It’s day 2 of the Goldfields Gothic: Festival of Dark Ideas and an early start for some as it’s market day. Gates open at 7 for the stall holders to set up and gates open at 10 for the public. It’s a gold coin donation entry with no ticket needed for entry. Tonight for ticket holders the entertainment continues with music and acts.

With set up almost complete…. The Gothic festival kicks off tonight with music and performances throughout out the museum.

Count down is on with less then a week to go until the gothic festival…. If you haven’t already, get your tickets for a busy program of music and entertainment. The market Saturday is shaping to be a big one, so be prepared for parking to be a challenge. It is a gold coin entry which goes straight to museum to help run these events. Sunday is also an action packed day with the 4th hearse nationals, the picnic at the museum and a fashion parade for fury friends as well as us. Goldfields Gothic: Festival of Dark Ideas
