The First Look (12-5pm) and Opening Night (5-9pm) are always a bit of fun with bubbles flowing and a great uplifting playlist.

Throughout history, artists have reimagined landscape to reflect the ideas of their time, from the Romantic notions of the Pastoral and the Sublime to the innovations of Impressionism, Modernism and beyond. Today’s artists continue this tradition, bringing fresh perspectives to the shifting relationship between people and the environment.

The 2026 Maldon Landscape Prize celebrates these diverse responses, inviting audiences to consider not only what a place looks like, but what it means and how it feels to be there. We welcome everyone to visit, engage with the artworks and support the artists by voting for the People's Choice Award.

Record number of entries - diverse mediums and approachs to the subject of 'landscape'. Tough gig for the much-esteemed selectors. I don't envy their job!

Join Jeff Gardner at the Melbourne Affordable Art Fair from Thursday 27 – Sunday 30 August at the Royal Melbourne Exhibition Building, Carlton.

😮Throughout the fair, Jeff will be working from a dedicated studio space, demonstrating traditional printmaking techniques on one of his much-loved printing presses.

Watch as a brand-new limited-edition etching is created and printed live and made exclusively for the 2026 Melbourne Affordable Art Fair.

This is a seriously brilliant exhibition.
I am clearly biased, but happy to admit to it!
Dean Bowen's artwork has been touring major museums in Japan for the last 2 years to much acclaim and here is a portion of these wonderful uplifting paintings, prints and bronzes in little ol' Maldon in central Victoria!

Get your clogs on - must finish Sunday at 5pm.

Wonderful opportunity to visit Maldon in Winter. Curious and unique things happening in the village - steam train, teddy bears picnic, Goth fest plus the Winter festival.
