Work goes on, sparkies in doing new lights, new flooring in retail area. Huge thanks to Peter at Avon Pest Control Stratford and Neil from Pest Wagon Bairnsdale for their advice and product dealing with long gone termites. Flooring caused some concern, 85 year old hardwood is bullet proof destroying the nail gun necessitating 1125 holes to be pre-drilled and hand nailed! Paint prep tomorrow.

With the roof at an acceptable state volunteers have started work on the rotten floor in the retail area. Big shout out to Migs Hire Maffra for the generous loan of equipment. Hopefully this will be done in the next few days.

Now that the roof is nearing completion it's time to do some refreshing inside before our reopening in July, as after 20+ years it's looking a little jaded. Huge shout out to Haymes Paint for the donation of paint through their local agent Paintright Bairnsdale. Pictured is Paint Rite Bairnsdale manager Adam handing over the product to Leigh from the GVC.

On again this Sunday from 8am, Coffee, Cars & Bikes in Maffra's main street. 15 deg with not much chance of rain. Come along for some great cars, company & of course coffee!

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Dave Barrick. (affectionally known as Pommy Dave) He would visit yearly from Yorkshire while staying with his sister in Maffra. Dave spent many happy hours helping out over the years and always sang our praises wherever he travelled, saying to people "Tell them Dave sent you and you'll get a free cuppa tea!" Back in 2017 he even had a display theme named after him.
Condolences to all Dave's family, he will be sadly missed.💔
