Stockroom is an exciting regional arts hub located in Kyneton’s thriving style precinct, Piper Street. Located just one hour north of Melbourne, Stockroom boasts an impressive and unique space that includes a large, split level retail and gallery space showcasing contemporary artists, makers and designers through a range of products including jewellery, ceramics, homewares, furniture and fashion a

s well as a monthly exhibition program across three gallery spaces and an outdoor sculpture courtyard. Stockroom makers and designers are at the cutting edge of contemporary art, craft and design, each having been carefully selected for their innovation, superb finish, presentation, skills and uniqueness. Works are curated and displayed amongst a collection of vintage and industrial collectables and furniture, much of which is made in-house. In Stockroom Gallery expect to encounter some of Australia’s most exciting and collectable, new and established contemporary artists within the monthly program of solo and curated exhibitions. The public exhibition openings are held on the second Saturday of every month from 4.30pm. Stockroom directors Magali Gentric and Jason Waterhouse are passionate about creating a vibrant arts hub, which provides a forum for artists, makers and designers of all disciplines.

WEDGE explores the push and pull of closeness and separation through both form and function. As a shape, a wedge is deliciously simple yet it evokes complex dynamics with its inherent capacity to connect, support or divide.

According to Dunbar’s number, there are limits to the number of meaningful relationships we can successfully maintain. These boundaries sits beneath the presented pieces where small interactions become markers of human togetherness and tension.

With a craft practice focused on the process of mould-making and slip-casting, Emma works with plaster, porcelain and glaze to design and create objects to both hold and be held.
