Kel's Art this page is to display some of my Art works. The sculptures are all 'one of' pieces and made from recycled materials.

I hope to also display some of the jewellery pieces I am making. I love creating, making and working on Art projects. I graduated from Curtin Uni in 1998, BA Vis Art. I have been drawing and making art my whole life and am now focusing just on creating Art and making stuff from scrap metal, old tools and wood.

The last Woodturners Weekend Workshop is in Busselton next month, November. The competition piece is a Fruit or Seedpod. This piece is an Acorn, Marri and Paddock Jarrah. The length is 240mm X 130mm. The inset is 90mm X 100mm.

Coming to the last 2 Woodturning Weekend Workshops. Tomorrow it's Northern Suburbs and the competition piece is a Platter with off centre turning. This platter is 3 sided multi-axis with bevell and an off centre central section. A beautiful piece of Sheoak wood.

Well the power is off for the day. Scheduled maintenance on the power lines in Collie. I had hoped to finish the fabrication of components for the dust extraction unit for woodturning but without power I have had to find other work to do. So I have started to add the colour to my painting. Given there is just enough light it is slow work.

New lathe for my workshop delivered and installed, bolted down and running good. Thanks Colin, I will enjoy turning wood...
