My most recent commission was of a very special place for a very special lady!! 🥰 The brief was an aerial view of her home in Encounter Bay, Encounter Lakes, and the lovely Yilki area. Challenging 😅 but super rewarding. Swipe to see my reference pic and painting process! ➡️

Encounter Bay has a really interesting coast with islands, sand holes, Norfolk pines, an exposed reef at low tide, as well as a big artificial “lake” area inland which is fed from the sea.

Trying to add the reef (def went through more than one “ugly” stage let me tell you! 😅)
Putting literally hundreds of houses in position. I tried to match roof colours where I could!
Final details. Trees, boats, kayaks, there are even people walking their dogs 🐶 on the beach!
