Daughter of Wind 🌬️

In my sculptural process, I allow proportion to become expressive rather than realistic. The enlarged hand creates drama and draws the viewer into her gesture, while the flowing forms of her hair echo the movement of wind.

With eyes closed, she listens to the unseen. A bird, messenger of the wind, rises above her — connecting the human form with nature, spirit and the mysteries beyond our reach.

Hand-built in clay, this one-of-a-kind sculpture explores movement, symbolism and the freedom of expressive form.

I'm back in the studio for the next few days to finish up a few pieces before hand surgery on Friday.
