Tubastrea takes its name from the scientific designation of a coral whose role within the marine ecosystem is to sustain, shelter, and give continuity to life. Drawing from this reference, the work translates a natural structure of protection, connection, and balance into artistic form.

The piece is part of Reefocus, a series of sculptures and paintings that draws attention to the richness and fragility of the underwater landscape. Made with recycled spadix and fabrics from the United Arab Emirates, it transforms reclaimed materials into a gesture of renewal, where each element finds a second chance to exist.

Tarikaya Kené, 2024

Fredy Tuanama (Pucallpa, 1994) is a contemporary artist whose practice reinterprets Kené patterns and traditions through rigorous research into perspective, geometry, and spatial depth. Born in the Peruvian Amazonian Rainforest and shaped by his early engagement with Shipibo-Konibo designs, his work has evolved through mural festivals across Peru and Ecuador and has been exhibited widely in national and international group shows. His participation in the International Biennial of Indigenous Art (USA, 2019–2020) underscores the critical recognition of his research-driven approach. Tuanama’s work is held in the Hochschild-Correa Collection and was awarded Second Prize at the XVI National Painting Competition of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (2025).

“Souvenirs of Dubai”

Clothilde Iskandar is a French artist based in Dubai. Through painting and drawing, she maps the delicate architecture of memory light, stillness, and interior landscapes poised between presence and vanishing.

Rooted in the aura of old Dubai and the desert’s restrained poetry, her series Souvenirs of Dubai brings together watercolor, ink, and subtle mixed media. Warm tonalities,
pared-back lines, and finely worked surfaces hold what is most fleeting: an atmosphere, a trace, a place felt remembered less for what it was than for what it continues to evoke.

The Light Is Born

Small hands, bright visions.
The works of eight children of early age, selected through an open call, presented this holiday season.

At the very threshold of their creative journey, these young voices speak with quiet clarity. Their works move beyond celebration, offering reflections on light, humility, and inner truth echoing the enduring spirit of Christmas
