Aiman Faheem speaks about how her practice reimagines natural boundaries, offering a space where land, sky, and memory meet to create quiet, dreamlike worlds.
“Through my practice, I reimagine the horizon not as a boundary, but as a gathering place, a line where land and sea lose their edges and blend into something new. I construct landscapes that exist less in geography and more in the quiet spaces of the imagination.
My work is guided by an intuitive connection to nature. While I often start with the familiar form of a tree, I move away from literal depiction, allowing the shapes to evolve through my own perspective. I give myself the freedom to reshape nature so the landscapes feel more like a soft, unfolding dream than a real place. I transform familiar forms into stylized, dreamlike environments.
For me, blue is the color of continuity, capturing the way the sky pulls itself into the water to create a sense of depth and stillness that feels infinite.
