There are moments when an art form just stops you and then the process of creating that art piece just takes your breath away, like glass-blowing or the movement of clay pottery.
This time it wasn’t only the Dorodango process that captured us, but the young man behind it.
I watched Ethan Perry sitting rolling this beautiful ball of sand into something so shiny and beautiful. The patience it takes, that’s not your typical teenage boy, this is remarkable and worthy of being displayed and appreciated.
Dorodango: The Japanese Art of Making Mud Balls. Here in South Africa, Ethan uses our home soil, in different shades and he adds unique textures. The end result, simply beautiful.
You are invited to come and view Ethan’s art at ZULU LULU ART HOUSE. Take the time to learn something new from his work. If you have ever wanted a piece of your home-country’s soil, there isn’t a more beautiful way to add this to your Art collection.
And most importantly, to encourage a young Artist who has taken the time to create and explore his Art journey.
