The past weeks have been incredibly challenging for our region. Torrential rains and severe flooding have caused widespread damage across Hoedspruit and catastrophic devastation to parts of the Kruger National Park and surrounding areas.
Due to extensive road damage, many residents were unable to safely leave their properties, and as a result, the gallery remained closed for the past week. We are relieved and grateful to share that we are now open again, as access routes slowly begin to stabilise.
That said, there is still significant clean-up and restoration work underway throughout our area. For this reason, we unfortunately do not anticipate much tourism in the immediate future while infrastructure and natural environments recover.
To our valued international collectors and supporters: please know that we remain fully operational and are available to ship artworks internationally during this time. Supporting the arts now helps sustain not only our gallery, but the wider conservation and creative community that depends on it.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the floods, and with the wildlife and landscapes we hold so dear.
