This weekend we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

As this powerful poem reminds us, freedom is never free. On this Memorial Day, Old Wye Mill reflects with gratitude on the sacrifices made by generations of Americans and the families who carried those burdens beside them.

Loved seeing so many people come out to help us kick off the 2026 season. Couldn’t make to the opening celebration - no problem. We’re open Wed - Sat 10-3 and Sun 1-3. Grinding days are the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month.

Step back in time at Old Wye Mill’s Opening Day on Saturday, May 2nd (10am-3pm)! Celebrate the start of the 2026 season with Revolutionary-era demonstrations, colonial cooking, children’s games, live honey demos, local food and more.
This year’s event kicks off Maryland’s “MD 250” celebration honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Come experience history in motion at the oldest continuously operating water-powered mill in the U.S. 🌾🌽🍞🇺🇸
