1 astronaut. 10 students. A million questions.

Join us tomorrow as we host a live amateur radio contact with astronaut Luke Delaney aboard the International Space Station. The students selected to speak with Delaney will ask questions about life in orbit on the ISS, the future of the space station, and even how they make grilled cheese all the way up there!

The doors to the planetarium will open at 10:50am, so be sure to arrive early to grab a spot!

How do astronauts make grilled cheeses in space? Find out THURSDAY 👩‍🚀

Join 10 students on Thursday, October 15 at 10:50 am as they ask their questions to an astronaut aboard the ISS! The contact will last about 10 minutes and will made by using HAM radio.

The leaves are changing and our grounds are looking beautiful as ever! Come visit our otters, mountain lions, and other nature exhibits to soak up some fall.

Have you noticed changes in the leaves? A chill in the air? The start of a spooky season? Autumn is here and we are getting into the Halloween spirit at the EcoTarium! 🍂

Explore ghostly bubbles, go on an adventure in our Glow Zone or even celebrate Jack-O-Lanterns with some explosive experiments all while learning about the science behind changing seasons! Costumes are encouraged (but not required) and join us for a happy, haunted Halloween on October 31 and November 1!

Join us for our Astrophysics Speaker Series TONIGHT! 🪐

David Kaiser will be speaking in our planetarium from 5 - 5:45 pm, where he will discuss the question, Could Tiny Black Holes from the Big Bang Solve the Mystery of Dark Matter?

David Kaiser is Germeshausen Professor of the History of Science and Professor of Physics at MIT. He is the author of several award-winning books about modern physics, including How the Hippies Saved Physics: Science, Counterculture, and the Quantum Revival and Quantum Legacies: Dispatches from an Uncertain World. Kaiser directs a research group at MIT that focuses on the big bang and black holes, and has also designed and helped to conduct novel experimental tests of quantum theory.
