Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor and recognize the past, present, and future of Native peoples and the lands we call home.
Filoli sits on the unceded homeland of the Lamchin tribe, a tribe of the Ramaytush Ohlone, the original caretakers of the San Francisco Peninsula.
In partnership with the Association of Ramaytush Ohlone, we were joined today by Sewam Dance, who presented rich oral histories, song, dance, and traditional storytelling celebrating the power and beauty of Native peoples.
We invite you to Filoli to walk the California Trail and visit the Lamchin Interpretive Center to learn, reflect, and honor the enduring presence and future of Indigenous peoples in our region, today and every day 🌱
