Wixom Historical Society’s Annual Rummage Sale at the Gibson House, 49805 Pontiac Trail, is Friday & Saturday, August 14 & 15 from 9 AM till 4 PM. Name your price. No reasonable offers refused. All proceeds benefit the preservation efforts of the Wixom Historical Society. You can still drop off donations on the East porch. Thanks for your support!

Our Rummage Sale Donation Drop Off Days are:
•••Monday, July 27, 9 AM till noon;
•••Tuesday, August 4, 9 AM till noon;
•••Tuesday, August 11, 9 AM till noon.

*The Rummage Sale is Friday & Saturday August 14 & 15, 9 AM till 4 PM*
You can also drop off items on the east porch, near the driveway of the Gibson House.  Some ideas include kitchen items, music and video cds & albums, small furniture, small appliances, tools, craft supplies, knickknacks, home decor, holiday items, outdoor items, toys, gardening supplies, dishes, silverware, table cloths, glasses, servingware, vintage items. This is our major fundraiser. All proceeds benefit the preservation efforts of the Wixom Historical Society. Thank you.

Our annual rummage sale is coming soon. Our next Donation Drop Off Day is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, between 9AM and 1 PM at the Gibson House, 49805 Pontiac Trail. We are grateful to receive your gently used castoffs! (Sorry, we are not able to accept used clothing.) This is our major fundraiser for the year. We are a nonprofit organization. Thank you for your support of the Wixom Historical Society.

In celebration of our 50th anniversary, the Wixom Historical Society is having a free open house at the Wixom-Wire House Museum on Saturday, July 18, from 11 AM till 2PM. We will have some of our most unique artifacts on display for this event. We will also be discussing the now-famous Wixom Elementary School Time Capsule with those who are interested. The museum is located at the southwest corner of Wixom Road and Maple Road in Wixom, down the street from the school. We hope to see you there!

Update: The Wixom Historical Society is having a free open house at the Wixom-Wire House Museum on Saturday, July 18, from 11 AM till 2PM. We will be discussing the Wixom Elementary School Time Capsule with those who are interested. Bring your theories, recollections and maps, but no shovels at this time! Are any alumni from Wixom Elementary who buried a time capsule interested in having a class reunion? If so, give your name in the comments and tell us what year your class buried a time capsule. Indicate if you would like to be on a planning committee and/or if you would like to attend a reunion. We hope this post will help you with contact information so that you can organize a reunion. Wixom has wonderful parks and restaurants, so this is a great place to reconnect. We have not forgotten about the time capsule and will keep you up-to-date with what we find out!
