September is just around the corner and with it brings the annual Northville Victorian Festival. Get ready to dress in your finest Victorian style clothing by shopping at the annual Victorian Clothing Sale, sponsored by the Northville Historical Society.

Stop by the Cady Inn on Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4 12:00 - 5 pm to pick up some great items from several vendors. Clothing Sale admission is $3 at the door.

All proceeds benefit the Northville Historical Society and the operation of Mill Race Village.

Stroll on over to Mill Race Village today 1-4 pm to tour buildings, hear stories of Northville past from volunteer docents, check out the exhibit 250 Years of Toys and Treats sponsored by Kilwins of Northville, shop in the Mead general store and enjoy a great late summer afternoon. Fashion and the Automobile: An Exhibit in 10 Eras

Take a journey down memory lane and see how fashion was influenced by function, the environment, changing lifestyles, and world events with Victoria Mobley, Lynn Anderson, and Elaine Vermeersch. This live show includes fashions from the Victorian Era through the 1970s. Each decade takes U-turns as every generation proves that “what’s old becomes new again!”

Tuesday, August 25 7:00 p.m. at the New School Church at Mill Race Village 215 Griswold Street Northville.

Bring History to Life at Mill Race Village!

What better way to teach children about history than to immerse them in it?

Teachers are invited to spend the day in the historic Wash Oak Schoolhouse at Mill Race Village in downtown Northville! After a guided one-hour tour of our 11 historic buildings, your class can use the authentic one-room schoolhouse as their classroom for the rest of the day.
For just $5 per student, your class will:
Experience learning in a real 19th-century schoolhouse
Enjoy a guided tour of Mill Race Village
Receive a Mill Race Village Certificate of Participation to
commemorate the day

It's a memorable, hands-on educational experience that brings local history to life and creates lasting memories for students.
