Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library Decorative arts museum, 60-acre wild garden, preeminent research library

(1329)

Founded by Henry Francis du Pont, Winterthur (pronounced “winter-tour”) is the premier museum of American decorative arts, reflecting both early America and the du Pont family’s life here. Its 60-acre naturalistic garden is among the country’s best, and its research library serves scholars from around the world. We invite you to visit and explore this place of beauty, history, and learning.

Love has a way of making a place feel even more beautiful.

And Winterthur has always been rather good at providing the setting.

As of September 7, 2026, special occasion photography at Winterthur will require a reservation. All members of the party, including the photographer, must purchase a General Admission ticket or be a Winterthur Member.

We look forward to continuing to make room for the moments that matter most.
