Vivid Art Gallery, a new destination on Chicago’s North Shore where art is presented with passion and energy. We can talk about art all day…and we do!

At Vivid we know that acquiring art should evolve from discovery, not shopping. That’s why we created this space, a warm welcoming storefront with lots of natural light and vintage wood floors—more like a living room than a traditional gallery. It’s a place where the works of many artists, not just a few, will be displayed at all times, so you can be delighted over and over again. A place where yo

u can hear the stories of the artists and their work. We provide an environment where art is a conversation—so whether you attend one of our educational events, or just stop in to see what’s new, we want you to leave knowing more than you did when you came in. We look forward to helping you find artwork you will be thrilled with for your living space.

Well, this is cool! We’re thrilled to share that gallery represented artist will be exhibiting her work through the beginning of October 5th at the in Chicago.

In describing her work, the museum writes, “Allison is drawn to the organic patterns found throughout the natural world. Inspired by butterflies, flowers and mushrooms from the Chicago Academy of Sciences natural history collections, this installation highlights the patterns of nature through a colorful mix of watercolor, ink and collage.”

Way to go, Allison!

We’re preparing for the new year, so we have a new exhibit in our windows. Entitled “Winter Salon,” it consists of the work of several represented artists local to the Chicago area. The show includes a variety of different work, from still lifes to photographs to abstract landscapes.

Please note that the gallery will be open on Saturdays only during the month of January. We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, February 1st.

Our Picture of the Week is ‘s “Mandala 2/23.” A work of ink on paper, this ethereal mandala encapsulates the beauty of the winter season. Allison creates these works through a unique process called Shabori, in which she folds and then unfolds the paper after dipping it into color to create a tie dye effect.

We wanted to take a moment to welcome a new artist displaying her work at the gallery, !

Dana is an Evanston artist who creates minimalist, abstracted landscapes using bits of fabric and found objects as well as paint. She sees these pieces as conversations among broken things, mirroring life itself.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see the intricate details of these pieces, which can really only be admired in person!

We’re into December and, as always, that means a new exhibit! This month, we have the work of Guest Exhibitor , a Chicago artist, on display. Erin’s abstract work serves as a method of self-expression. Her work is focused on the interplay between two geometric forms – lines and squares. Pushing the boundaries of both forms, the resulting lines and shapes are often imperfect, creating work that is messy and unorganized, but that vibrates with energy and intensity.

Our Picture of the Week is “A View From Above” by Chicago artist . David’s work is dreamlike, nostalgic, and whimsical. Leaving much to the imagination, David imbues his work with a variety of colors and textures, layering his work so that new details emerge with each viewing.
