Please join us this Friday, Oct 16, from 4:30 to 7:30 PM, to celebrate Jennifer Pulchinski and her new solo exhibition “The Snow Told Me So!”

Wisconsin native Jennifer Pulchinski relocated to Bozeman, MT in 2001, where she went on to graduate with a BFA in drawing and sculpture from the University of Montana, and was awarded the Bronze Pencil in 2008.
Pulchinski resides in Bozeman, MT, where she continues her career as a sculptress and drawer. Her work is included in multiple permanent collections with the state of Montana.

We are open every Saturday and Sunday, 1-4 PM, and other days by appointment. See you soon! ❤️

Please come and join us tonight for the opening of “Rib to the South, Jaw to the West” exhibition by Cristina Marian. 4:30 - 7:30 PM. See you there! ❤️

Cristina Marian is a Romanian-American visual artist best known for her highly experimental layered paintings investigating the notion of becoming, rather than being within fixed and stable grounds. Her work explores such themes as her experience within her community; togetherness and the sense of belonging; communal and global changes; and finding peace within unpredictability.

Marian holds a BFA in Painting from the National University of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Romania, and an MFA from Montana State University, Bozeman.

She works with a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, and public installation. She has exhibited internationally, including in Bucharest, Paris, Oslo, Dakar, and Vienna. In America, Marian’s work has been shown throughout Montana, in Cincinnati, OH, Spokane, WA, West Chicago, IL and Flint, MI. Her most recent group show was “Secret Spaces” at Buckham Gallery in Flint, MI. “Nowhere To Be But Here” is her most recent solo exhibition at the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, Montana.

She lives in Whitehall MT, and divides her time between working in the studio, exhibiting her artwork, teaching, and spending time with her husband and their three-year-old baby.

“Rib to the South, Jaw to the West” exhibition will be up until Oct 4. The gallery is open every Saturday and Sunday, 1 - 4 PM, or by appointment.

Come today and Sunday, between 1 and 4 PM, to see this work and all the others that are part of the “Possibilities and Reality” duo-show by Harold Schlotzhauer and Mary Ann Kelly.

“There is a place in one’s consciousness where observation, memory and imagination act as a metaphorical explanation for understanding the beauty of the natural world. Our realization of our own significance is put into perspective as we place ourselves into the mixture of light and shadow, form and current, obstacle and pathway. There is an element of timelessness found in a moment of high perception and awareness as well as in the circular nature of time that I often try to delineate. Reflecting upon the elements of our sensual experiences in moments of awareness or reflecting on the memory of ones’ collective imagination presents an assemblage of significant signs that form a visual language. This language appears to me as a combination of gesture, movement, color and form that when read together recall the significance of experience, the importance of observation and the power of memory. When gesture and color meet the current of experience, the poetic language of the visual symbol emerges.” Mary Ann Kelly

Drawing installation and other works by Harold Schlotzhauer, as part of “Possibilities and Reality,” a duo-show with Mary Ann Kelly. This exhibition is on display until August 31. We are open every Saturday and Sunday, 1pm - 4pm, or by appointment.

 “I am interested in the fluid boundaries between abstraction and representation. My art is a journey to a place created by the imagination and influenced by the extreme polarities of objective and non-objective configuration. It is a world of energy, movement, and change where the viewer can engage in complex relationships relative to nature without the pictorial dogma of absolute representation. Functional objects and parts of things can be identified, and symbolic relationships can be determined, but complete access to a rational conclusion is denied. I want a curious ambiguousness to be present and long for the viewer to participate in the pleasure of imagining the possibilities.”
