An interesting side note to this beautiful piano. Mr. Kell said he purchased this piano because even though all of his daughters had piano lessons, non of them wanted to play. Henceforth a player piano.
Built in 1909 by local pioneer Frank Kell, the Kell House bridges past, present, and future. Tours are generally offered by donation.

The Kell House Museum tells the history of Wichita Falls through the eyes of the Kell family. Tours of this local, state, and national landmark include stories of the Kell family, the city that grew around them, and their contributions to the community and nation. The Neo-Classical exterior and Victorian-inspired interior of the House add to the tale and help bring history to life for our visitors. Currently undergoing a massive, three-phase, multi-year stabilization and renovation, the Museum may have to close periodically, sometimes with little or no notice. Check our page for our current status, or call ahead to ensure tour availability. During this time, the Kell House will offer tours by donation.
