The museum serves as a repository of photographs and artifacts pertaining to the military history of NAS South Weymouth and NAS Squantum.

Due to the predicted nor'easter this weekend, the Shea Naval Aviation Museum will not be open this Saturday morning, and the ANA Patriot Squadron stated monthly meeting will be held the following Saturday morning, October 3rd at 11:00 AM. The museum itself will open at 09:00 AM that day. Stay safe!

Several ANA Patriot Squadron/Shea Naval Aviation Museum members including Steve Cohn, Al Firnrohr, Faith and Marc Frattasio, Joe and Sara McCann, and Jack and Mary Primiano traveled up from Massachusetts to attend the base reunion held on old NAS Brunswick, ME by the Brunswick Naval Aviation Museum. Over 800 people from all across the country came to the reunion and it was a terrific time.

Went to NAS Patuxent River, MD yesterday (Thursday September 17th) to participate in VXS-1's P-3 Orion sun-setting event and had two surprises. #1 Patriot Squadron member VADM Wally Massenburg's name painted on the nose of the P-3 on display in a small park on the base and #2 the admiral's son CAPT Beau Massenburg.

Museum PAO Marc Frattasio takes a few Civil Air Patrol cadets who visited the museum on Saturday August 29th on a short ride around the old base in his 1942 USN Jeep.

1942 Ford GPW Jeep, painted up like a vehicle assigned to NAS South Weymouth's Blimp Patrol Squadron Eleven during the Second World War, parked at the Shea Naval Aviation Museum.

On Saturday December 13th and ANA Patriot Squadron, the local chapter of the Association of Naval Aviation that operates the Shea Naval Aviation Museum, held its annual holiday luncheon at the Abington Ale House restaurant. Here are a few photos taken at this event by the group's XO Steve Cohn.
