Today we’re highlighting the Eastern States Exposition Foundation’s Blown Glass Auction with beautiful pieces from the Mobile Glass Studio.

The Mobile Glass Studio, run by Glass Artist Ryan Gothrup, runs a mobile glassblowing experience that brings artistry and education of glass making beyond the studio walls to your location. Viewers will experience a multitude of information surrounding the lost art of glassblowing. Glassblowing is an interdisciplinary artform that embodies art, science, math, history and teamwork. From glass blowing demonstrations to hands-on workshops, spectators will gain a vast knowledge of the process of manipulating hot glass into various shapes and forms. Ryan Gothrup has been an educator of glass blowing for over 16 years, teaching students as young as 10 years old to elderly students, and students with learning differences.

The Foundation is holding an in-person auction featuring the Mobile Glass Studio glass works on the Village Green from 1:00-7:00pm. The Auction closes each Sunday at 2:00pm. We hope to see you there!

It’s Vermont Day! While all of our buildings are originally from Massachusetts and New Hampshire, a piece of one hails from the Green Mountain State! The front vestibule of the North Center School, a Fair favorite, came from Vergennes! Museum founder, Helen Storrow, added it to the one room schoolhouse when it was moved to the Exposition in 1930 to create a postcard-perfect look.

Today is New Hampshire Day! Did you know that two of our historic buildings are from the Granite State? The Union Meetinghouse (c. 1834) hails from Salisbury, and the Clark Blacksmith Shop (c. 1853) from Chesterfield. Both are still used today, the first for church services and events, and the latter as a functioning Blacksmith shop!

Today we celebrate our home state, Massachusetts! Many of our historic buildings are from the Bay State. The Potter Mansion (c. 1774) of North Brookfield, the Gilbert Farmstead (c. 1794), hailing from West Brookfield, and the Eddy Law Office (c. 1810) from Middleboro, all originally stood, and continue to stand, in the Commonwealth!

Want to go on a Ghost tour some Friday Night at the BigE
So this is a replica of different buildings that exist or used to exist in NH and MA and not actual village?
Someone loves his new friend Ezekiel..
I captured this Beautiful moment today at Storrowton Village Yuletide...not sure who this little boy is, he drew a picture of what he wanted for Santa. Hoping maybe his mom and dad will see this or others may just enjoy the pure beauty.
Thanks for putting on a wonderful event! Our little one loved meeting Santa.
I can't find this on the website, but what are the hours? How much is it to get in? What days are you open? Is the tavern open daily or is it reservation only or just a rental hall?
