Did You Know?
That on September 5th, 1910, Teddy Roosevelt was in Fargo to dedicate the newly constructed Carnegie Library?
It was during this speech that the former President said this about North Dakota,
“If it had not been for what I learned during those years that I spent here in North Dakota, I never in the world, would have been president of the United States.” This cornerstone was laid at the site, and even after the library was demolished in 1964, it stayed until it was moved to Bonanzaville in 2001.
Stop in and see our display on Teddy! And ask our Facilities Manager if the stone is heavy lol
