Vestal Museum Dedicated to the preservation and presentation of local history through historical artifacts and events.

The Vestal Museum is a department of the Town of Vestal and is an organization dedicated to the preservation and presentation of local art and history. The Vestal Museum serves as the repository of local artifacts and archives. Public education is accomplished through collection care, exhibits and public and school programs. Museum programs are developed in cooperation with Vestal Historical Society members and community volunteers.

Item #17 of Our 50 Objects Celebrating Our Fifty Years as a Museum.
Civil War Rifle & Bayonet
These items belonged to Jacob Palmer, a Civil War Veteran and the Great Grandfather of Bert S. Palmer. Bert S. Palmer was born in 1917 and lived in Vestal. He had a dairy farm and later worked for the Vestal Schools. Bert and his daughter donated these items in 2004.
