I just got a booth at the Corner Parlor in Livingston. I'm all the way in the back on the left side of the store. Right now I have some cute fall and Halloween 🎃 items but these cute Christmas 🎄 ornaments will be heading that way. Get them while you can!

Basic Watercolor 101 Class

I've recently had a lot of interest in my beginner watercolor classes so I wanted to post some information here.

I teach project classes and instructional technique classes. Watercolor 101 is a basic beginner class that covers information about the materials used in watercolor. I also teach some color theory so that you have some basic skills in mixing colors. You will learn basic watercolor skills and we will do a small project to incorporate the skills learned in the class. I prefer that my students attend a 101 class before they take a project class with me. That puts everyone on a level playing field!

The 101 class is usually one day a week for four weeks (although I sometimes offer it as a weekend workshop if there is enough interest). The class is from 10:00AM until 2:00PM. We have a break at noon and everyone brings their lunch. I supply all of the materials but I do request that you bring a roll of Viva paper towels and a binder for your handouts. The cost of the class is $150.00 (that's 37.50 a week) and must be paid in advance. There is no refund if you cancel within a week of the class. I take students on a first come first served basis. Class fees are mailed or dropped off to me and I send a welcome packet once I get your class fee. This puts your name on the class list. There are 8-10 students in a class.

I will be starting a Watercolor 101 - Basic Beginner Class on Thursdays beginning October 1st, 2026. Please feel free to message me for additional information.

It felt good to be preparing for a new watercolor class today! I've enjoyed learning more about Plein Air painting but I have missed teaching. Let me know if you're interested in the next beginner class.
