Ventura ArtWalk's CineFest continues in a bigger and better location — the Century 10 Theaters! We screen traditional genre films (horror, sci-fi, comedy, etc), compelling cutting-edge dramas, experimental fare, and more! Honors and prizes will be awarded. Our mission is to celebrate independent filmmaking and storytelling, highlighting exceptional works from local, national and international filmmakers.

Brief Q+A panels will follow each screening and filmmakers will be invited to attend a mixer after the first night's proceedings.

This event takes place on Sept. 26 and 27, 1-6 p.m. both days at the Century 10 Theaters in Downtown Ventura, 555 E. Main St.

Registration for ArtWalk Ventura is now open! If you are an artist interested in this event, do not delay in registering, the Mission Park fine arts area will sell out quickly. Part of the magic of this event is that we also give Main Street and West Side businesses a chance to be a gallery for a weekend with promotion and maps leading to their stores. And we have a Cinema Festival downtown, plus two stages of entertainment! www.artwalkventura.org

It is imperative that the local arts community weighs in on the new arts and culture policy being developed by consultants for the City of Ventura right now! Please attend one of these meetings. As we know, the arts are a revenue generator for the city and bring in tourism.

ArtsVentura and the ArtWalk Committee are pleased to announce a partnership with Cinemark to hold this year’s film showcase, CineFest, in the Century 10 Theaters in Downtown Ventura Sept. 26-27. The festival has grown bigger every year since its inception in 2024. We received international entries last year. 2026 will be even better!

Thank you to Ethan Messecar and John Treuer for their work on our super successful CineFest this year. It has been part of ArtWalk for the past two years and is run entirely by young filmmakers.
