Half way through the beast!!! A little sore. A little tired, but no more than usual after whacking away at the flesh of giant fruit for 5 hours. It is no more difficult than carving on a smaller one, just a lot more ground to cover with each stroke. I have to say it is the nicest pumpkin flesh I have ever gotten to carve.

I think I look small!!!! Don’t you?
This is the heaviest pumpkin grown in Santa Barbara County. It was grown by Blue Oak Ranch. It is a Whopping 1,486 lbs.
Come watch me sculpt it live from 12-2 on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th.
This will be the largest pumpkin I have ever gotten my hands on. Oh the possibilities!!!
