In celebration of Tennessee Statehood Day, join us for STEAM Saturday – Whatever Floats Your Boat from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30.

Just as rivers like the Tennessee, Cumberland and Mississippi played a vital role in trade, travel and settlement during Tennessee’s journey to statehood, guests will explore the science and engineering behind how boats float, move and navigate waterways.

Through hands-on boat-building challenges, participants of all ages will test buoyancy, experiment with wind-powered sails and create paddlewheel systems while discovering creative engineering and problem-solving skills.
