Obion County Museum

Obion County Museum "Where Yesterday Lives" The Obion County Museum was established in Union City in 1970. Our military exhibit dates back to the American Civil War era.

Since our humble beginnings, we have expanded our exhibits from regional findings to international artifacts. Come travel back to pre-historic times with our ancient Woolly Mammoth skeleton that is over 13,000 years-old. We invite you to come learn about this region's rich history by touring our antique log cabin. We offer tours daily. Group rates are avaliable, and school groups are welcomed. Fri

Suggestion: Buy a Museum Coloring book ($2), and take your child ($1) through the Museum letting them locate all the items in the Museum that are in the book!

It's Fall Break and we have the perfect afternoon plan for you and your family. Come to the Obion County Museum and spend the day looking at our Military Exhibit, the Woolly Mammoth, our T-Rex, and much more. It's an inexpensive way to have fun and learn about history. We'll see you soon!

Adult Art Classes are on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. It's $10 a session. It's never to late to discover your artistic talent!

Children's Art Classes are offered at the Obion County Museum on Tuesdays. Home-schooled children and 5-year-olds will meet from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Ages 6 to 14 will meet from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The cost is $10 a session. This is a great way for your child to learn about art, explore their creativity, and have a great time.
