This immersive internship offers participants direct experience at active dinosaur dig sites, in a professional fossil preparation laboratory, and in a public museum setting. Interns work alongside experienced paleontologists, educators, and museum staff while gaining real-world skills applicable to careers in paleontology, geology, museum studies, education, and other STEM-related fields.

Housing is provided, and a weekly stipend is included. Interns must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Full program details, responsibilities, and application instructions are included in the attached flyer.

A new member of the WDC’s dinosaur family is finally here! After tens of thousands of man hours of work to dig, prep, design, and build, our very own Allosaurus from the site Cheryl’s Blind is on display in the museum to celebrate 30 years of our doors being open!! What makes this dinosaur extra special is the pathology, or injury, on the left tibia and fibula that likely would have caused the dinosaur to walk with a limp, and lean to its uninjured side.

The Allosaurus is now on display in the gallery of the museum, with a very special new exhibit, visit the museum everyday between 8am-6pm to see our new dinosaur, including today, July 1st, during our open house!
