The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art (LRMA) is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The museum opened Jan. 22, 2002 as a regional museum on the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College. As a membership-based cultural and academic institution, LRMA serves students and the community at-large, and the museum provides an array of educational programs for all ages to complement a year-around exhibition schedule. The building is located on the northwest corner of the Campus just west of U.S. Highway 19 at Klosterman Road and Belcher Road.

Mission: The mission of the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is to collect, conserve, exhibit and protect the works of art entrusted to its care and stewardship. Holley was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1950, the seventh of 27 children! His youth was spent in foster homes, but his grandmother adopted him at age 14 and taught him to pick through dumps for items to sell at flea markets. Known for his found object sculptures, Holley is inspired by "the divine" and "media heroes" like pop icon Michael Jackson. Holley captured the duality of Jackson's persons in this double portrait - his wide-eyed public facade versus his private life in shadowy profile. When this was painted, Jackson headlined the news for reasons other than his music, having settled a molestation case out of court and married Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa-Marie. Lonnie Holley is an African American folk, or "self-taught" artist and musician.

Museum Admission: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors. Free to members, children 17 and under, students and active military with ID. Parking is free. The museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays. Free docent tours are offered at 2:00 p.m. every Sunday. To schedule a private group tour at other times, please visit https://www.leeparattner.org/visit/ or call (727) 712-5226 at least one month in advance so we can make arrangements to accommodate your group's needs. All LRMA Docents have graduated from an extensive training course and continue to hone their skills through the number of tours they lead as well as year-round orientations on new exhibitions and presentations on works from the museum's collections.

Dancers prepare for "In the Galleries: Contemporary Music for Cello and Dance" An evening of dance, music, and art at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art will delight the senses on Friday, June 24 from 6-8 p.m. Experience a dynamic blend of sound and motion in the Museum galleries while cellist and recording artist, Theresa Villani, accompanied by Colleen Schmitt, pianist, will present a repertoire of contemporary music for cello to complement the exhibition Into the Third Dimension: Sculpture from the Collection. Guest choreographers and dancers from SPC's CoMotion Dance Theatre will interpret the music. Before the performances, there will be an introduction to the exhibition.
