Each Poster was issued for an historic event or celebration, and printed under the artist’s direction from an original Hal Stowers acrylic painting, watercolor, hand colored etching/aquatint, or monotype/mixed media piece.
Hal Stowers and his wife, BJ, have been active in the art and environmental worlds since the early 1970s, striving to protect fragile shorelines and wetland habitats along the Gulf coast of Florida and beyond. Through Hal’s paintings, etching/aquatints, lithographs, monotypes and monumental stainless steel sculptures — BJ’s writings, documentation, videos and photos — and together with their co-authored HAL STOWERS & The Art of LIFE BLENDING coffee table book — this happy couple have been positively blending art and protecting the environment for almost six decades!
