Tampico Area Historical Society & Museum Tampico Area Historical Society Tampico offers TWO museums - one is the Ronald Reagan Birthplace and Museum, located at 111-113 Main St. We also have wi-fi.

It is a privately owned establishment and totally separate from the Tampico Area Historical Society (TAHS), located at 119 Main St. The TAHS archives all of Tampico's rich history. There are two levels offering various displays of clothing, photos, antiques and other memorabelia. The upper level is also the Family History Library & Research Center for tracing/researching your family roots and othe

r local history. The only newspaper was published from 1876 to 1966 and is archived in our FHL/RC. We also have cemetery lists, funeral logs, family history files, photographs, plat maps and miscellaneous items to assist in your quest. Members have access to Ancestry.com on our onsite computer.
