Erie Public Library is now a FamilySearch Affiliate Library!!

What does this mean? For anyone doing family research online at FamilySearch.org, it means that you can go to the Erie Library to view records where images have been restricted by FamilySearch. This often happens due to contracts with local authorities who physically house those particular records. Example: From home, you might be able to find that a record exists on FamilySearch for an ancestor born in Cook County, Illinois, in 1917 but you can't view the record image. Now you can go to the Erie Library and to view that image. You will have to use a library computer to log into your Family search account. Once in you can find the record image you need.

Join us on Thursday, July 2nd to learn a little about the history of Heritage Park and celebrate the 50th anniversary of it's dedication to the community! 🇺🇸

Come enjoy an evening of relaxing fun as we celebrate Heritage Park's 50th Anniversary!

A free picnic of hot dogs, chips, cookies & water will be provided. Fun for all ages with giveaway baskets, games, and music! Food will be served from 5-7pm and the Little Miss and Mister contest will begin at 6pm.

American Legion Post 582 - 140th Annual Memorial Day Parade and Community Service 🇺🇸

Parade starts at 10:00 AM - participants and the community are invited to attend the memorial service honoring our nation's fallen service members immediately following at Erie Cemetery.

Revitalize Erie will be serving breakfast burritos starting at 9:00 AM at locations on the triangle and near the cemetery.
