A few stories ago, our main mermaid began collecting wondrous and fascinating treasures in her adventures throughout the earth. As with all tantalizing tales, our mermaid fell in love...although this time it wasn't with a prince, but with an incredible community in the heart of Tacoma, WA. From this love that God put upon her heart for this area, a (not boring) art galler

y in the historical Lincoln District emerged. This allowed our mermaid to not only be in the midst of her new family, but also be able to share and help and contribute to those around her. Now our mermaid resides by the sea down at Point Ruston continuing the work that was started on 38th st. Entwined in this shop is our mermaid's desire to share beauty & surprise & oddness with those seeking.

Mammoth Teeth just arrived and boy was I surprised!!🦣

Ok… these just got about 100x cooler.

Not only are these genuine Ice Age mammoth teeth with incredible natural detail from an animal that walked the earth thousands of years ago… but we just discovered they also react under UV light AND show phosphorescence. Meaning they continue glowing AFTER the UV light is removed. 🤯

That rare afterglow happens because of minerals preserved deep within the fossil over thousands upon thousands of years. Science + ancient history + glowy magic? Yes please.

Each one is completely unique with mesmerizing patterns, textures, and colors formed by time itself. Honestly one of the coolest fossil surprises we’ve seen in a long time.

We just added a brand new sticker artist to our growing treasures and we are OBSESSED.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice, along with the sacrifices carried quietly by so many military families and veterans, deserves remembrance, gratitude, and respect.

As a small business, we try to be intentional about the products we choose to bring into the shop and the companies we support behind them.

One of our newest additions is Pinch Me Therapy Dough, a calming sensory dough designed to help with stress, anxiety, grounding, and focus through touch and aromatherapy. Beyond loving the product itself, one of the reasons we chose to carry it is because a portion of their proceeds is donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, helping support veterans and injured service members.

It felt especially meaningful to introduce this product during Memorial Day weekend. A reminder that honoring service can also include supporting those still carrying the visible and invisible weight of it today.

Thank you to all who have served, all who continue to serve, and to the families who sacrifice alongside them.

Welcome to Manic Mermaid’s LIVE Facebook Show. Thank you for joining us!
We are open at our shop in Point Ruston (5020 Main st Tacoma, WA) 7 days a week, 11-6pm.
During this show, you will get to see and purchase items that have just arrived before they go on the floor. By attending the LIVE show you also have the opportunity to receive special deals, discounts and prizes that aren’t available outside of the LIVE show. So have fun! Lots of treasures to go around.
Purchase: Comment ‘sold’ and the number or name to purchase. First person to say sold in our official feed purchases the item. (we love showing you a specific number - it just doesn't save it for you). In order to allow everyone to get the treasures they want...please be sure of what you are purchasing as there is a 20% restocking fee for returning an item because you changed your mind.
Payment: Payment is due in full within 24 hours of your invoice being sent for the items you purchased. We will send you an invoice each evening you purchase on the show.
If payment is not received within 24 hours for your purchased items you will forfeit any special deals, discounts and prizes that you received during the show and may lose the opportunity to participate in the LIVE shows further.
We also offer Layaways through a company called AfterPay. Layaways are for items $100 or more (up to $2000). You will be sent an invoice with the AfterPay option for payment. Follow their easy steps to apply. They’ll do a soft credit check which has no effect on your credit score to verify your identity. There are no fees associated with your timely payments to AfterPay. They are divided up in 4 equal payments to be billed over 6 weeks. After you are approved, you’ll be able to pick up your item immediately!
Shipping & Pickups: We are open for pick-ups and shopping 7 days a week, 11-6pm
We are happy to ship to you! Local or international. Please let us know by Saturday if you would like shipping for that following Monday (our shipping day).
We wait to hear from you about when you want to ship. Some people like their items shipped weekly and others like to keep an open box to save on shipping...we are good either way as long as you pay your invoices each time you buy on the show!
If you are within WA, we ship your items for free when you purchase $150 or more from the show(s). (Excluding sales tax, heavy and oversized items of course. We pay the first $9 of shipping for purchases over $150 - if it’s heavy/oversized, the retmaining shipping amount will be sent via invoice to you). Free Shipping does not apply to Garage Sale items.
Shipping prices for the US for medium flat rate is $19 or Large flat rate for $25 for anywhere in the US.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Paid items left more than 21 days, will be considered abandoned property and restockied. Manic Mermaid store credit will be issued and must be used in 6 months. A shipping invoice can be issued if you would like your items shipped instead.
