Foss Waterway Seaport

Foss Waterway Seaport Come explore our region’s extraordinary maritime heritage! Foss Waterway Seaport celebrates Tacoma's rich maritime heritage-past, present and future.
(396)

Learn how the people, boats, and industries that built the heart of Tacoma have shaped our future and changed the way we view the treasures of Puget Sound. Located on the waterfront, in a century-old wheat
warehouse known as the Balfour Dock building, Foss Waterway Seaport is where history actually took place! It is one of two remaining wooden
warehouses originally built to accommodate cargo arriv

ing by rail and departing by square-rigged ships that frequented the port during the early
years of Tacoma's history. Foss Waterway Seaport is Puget Sound's maritime heritage, education and event center, where families, students and entire communities come to discover, explore, work and play. ACTIVITIES

Join our team! ⚓

We've got two openings at the Seaport right now:

Facilities Coordinator (Full-time, 30-40 hrs/week, $20-27/hr). We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented coordinator to help maintain our historic Seaport. You'd oversee maintenance and repairs across the facility, docks, and grounds, coordinate outside vendors and contractors, and help implement our security and emergency preparedness procedures. Mon–Fri, 8-5, with occasional weekend shifts.

Guest Services (Part-time, 15-20 hrs/week, $18-23/hr). We're looking for someone friendly and reliable, with strong customer service skills! You'd be a first point of contact for our visitors, covering the front desk, supporting the museum shop, sharing info about exhibits and programs, and processing memberships and donations. POS experience preferred. Thu–Sun, museum hours (10-4).
