Heritage Sylvania Heritage Sylvania is a multi-site historical and educational non-profit located in downtown Sylvania.

Heritage Sylvania is a non-profit history and education center located in Sylvania, Ohio. We manage the Lathrop House - an Underground Railroad station, the Cooke/Kuhlman Home - an early 20th century doctor's home and office, the Sylvania Historical Village - a collection of original and recreated historic buildings and the Sylvania City Archives. As of July 11, both the Lathrop House and the Cooke/Kuhlman House (Heritage Center Museum) are now open to the public on a regular basis. The Lathrop House is open Sundays 1 - 4 and the Cooke/Kuhlman Home is open Saturday 11 - 2 and Sunday 1 - 4. Additionally the Historical Village is now open for student programs with pre-reservations. Find out more by visiting our website at www.heritagesylvania.org

Today is the last day to register your pie! 🥧

Apple, pumpkin, pecan, we love them all! Bake your favorite pie or dust off a family recipe for the 40th annual Fall Festival!🍰

The annual pie contest is returning and so is our appetite!

Registration closes October 11, 2026, and pie drop off is October 18, 2026, from 8:30am - 9:30am with judging to follow.

Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Judge's choice.
Registration is required for all submissions.

Register your Scarecrow by October 11, 2026.

Scarecrows must be dropped off October 16, 2026 between 4pm and 6pm.

Who will win? Ribbons are awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and People's Choice!

Downtown Sylvania Haunted Brew Tour, night 2 is tonight!! Did you get your tickets?! I hope so because we are SOLD OUT!!

This year, we have a new face joining our tour guide crew, so we thought it was only fitting to introduce you to each of your guides and give you a little background on the storytellers who will be bringing Sylvania's darker history to life this October.

And if you're joining us tonight, you'll have the pleasure of hearing these stories told by the the OTG, Samantha Ayres.

Get ready for some frights, chills and some good ol’ dark humor.
