The beginning of summer makes for great days, perfect weather and abundant summer color to capture!

If you’ve been to North Beach in Leland and looked to the left then you know that Whaleback and Pyramid Point are key land masses to see. As the boats begin to arrive in the Leland Harbor their architecture becomes part of the vista. I hope you enjoy my capture of it. Painted on-location. ☀️

Painted one more trillium today with some hearty ramps. These beauties in the woods are coming to an end of their seasonal blossom time. What a treat to capture and see these along the trails I hike.

Here are my fun and latest 2026 tugs. Each year these bold whimsical tugs get collected and I always love hearing how and why a buyer chooses a certain one. Each tug always has a personality to it! Which one do you like? 😊☀️

A little sneak preview of elements of a commission that’s been a part of my brain and hand for a bit. It’s headed to its home just as soon as it’s signed and assembled into the custom frame we’ve been working on in the gallery. It’s been a fun large project! I’ll be sure to share the whole painting soon! 🖼️☀️🍃🍒

The trillium’s are beauties in the woods right now. They symbolize the beginning of spring blossoms for me. I also think they make wonderful gifts for graduation, weddings, birthdays or to collect for yourself. 🌱

These two happen to be the same size and are of the same palette so they make a great duo. Each is available or as a duo. Enjoy! ☀️

The third trillium from a recent outing. Don’t ask me how many different things I was looking at —- or, maybe the feel of a lot going on is coming through to jog you around this painting. Not every painting is just about seeing, but expressing what one experiences. That big trillium, those wild spotted smoky blue/green leaf like weeds. The fallen trees that become rugged old logs. The sky peaking through yonder. Just do much to dance into one painting. I hope it makes you wonder for a bit and enjoy the mark-making and paint.
