The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center is a very special project of the Children’s Museum of Houston. The Discovery Center occupies a 12,000 square foot restored building and features six exhibits geared for children ages birth to 12. It gives the Museum the opportunity to enrich the educational lives of Fort Bend’s children by expanding cultural and educational family-focused opportunities.

Get ready to celebrate color, creativity, and imagination at our Pop of Color Party on June 5! Dive into bubbly science experiments with Texas Bubblers, join the excitement of our Cosmic Color Throw, enjoy a special storytime and crown craft inspired by I Am Me, and create shimmering rainbow bookmarks using thin film science. Plus, enjoy all day rainbow themed art activities throughout the Museum. It’s a day packed with hands on fun, discovery, and colorful memories for the whole family.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center’s 10th Birthday! From the laughter and dancing to the hands on activities and special surprises, your energy made this milestone truly unforgettable.

For the past 10 years, we’ve had the privilege of inspiring curiosity, creativity, and learning through play in our community. We are incredibly grateful to our members, guests, partners, staff, and supporters who have been part of this journey.

What better way to create unforgettable experiences for kids than by asking kids themselves?
Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center is looking for bright, creative, and curious young minds to join our Kids’ Committee: a special group of children who help shape the fun at the Discovery Center! Brought to you by Ceoforgood

From giving feedback on new exhibits to helping us plan exciting programs and events, Kids’ Committee members serve as our official “kid experts,” making sure everything we create is truly kid-approved. Their ideas help us build experiences that inspire imagination, spark learning, and make every visit unforgettable.
