A busy September coming up for Dave, Huckleberry and Gretchen. General Benedict Arnold and Peggy Shippen at The Leffingwell in Norwich, General Wolcott and the 5th Connecticut in Litchfield, and Gold's Dragoons Master of Horse in Fairfield. Plus it's Foxhunt cubbing season with Tanheath in Eastern Connecticut on some of the most beautiful, open old New England hunt country I have ever seen, great fun!

So Huckleberry and Dave's portrayal as Colonel Ledyard on horseback for the Town of Ledyard Connecticut's Parade has been postponed from tomorrow to June 27th due to weather.

However, portrayal of Samuel Huntington, Norwich's signer of the Declaration, with Huck is still on for the City of Norwich's Memorial Day Parade on Monday with the 250th Committee. This will be followed by the soft inauguration of the Three Captain's Tavern (a work in progress) for friends and neighbors.

Traveled to beautiful Jones Beach on the southern shore of Long Island yesterday to portray William Floyd, a NY signer of the Declaration, with General Washington (John Koopman), Lewis Morris (Kyle Jenks), some folks from New Windsor, and the Governor of NY. This was a kickoff press conference to open up NY's 250th celebrations, which will include the Blue Angels there on July 5th! The horse had the day off which was good as the drive was nearly 4 hours each way with traffic. Great to be back home and part in the 250th celebrations!
