AI & Art Spaces: Open Forum
Saturday, August 15 | 2:00–4:00 PM
Stockton Art League

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the creative landscape, raising exciting opportunities as well as important questions for artists, educators, nonprofit organizations, and our community.

Join the Stockton Art League for an open, honest, and respectful conversation about the role of AI in art and creative spaces. This is not a lecture or a debate: it is a chance to listen, share perspectives, ask questions, and explore how AI is influencing the way we create, exhibit, teach, and experience art.

The discussion will be facilitated by board members Elazar Abraham (HATCH Workshop, Stockton Art League, North Valley Thrive) and JoAnn Sagaral (Stockton Art League, Static Studios Media LLC, Downtown Comeback Club), who will help guide a thoughtful community dialogue that welcomes a variety of viewpoints and experiences.

Whether you’re an artist experimenting with AI, someone concerned about its impact, an educator, student, creative professional, or simply curious about the conversation, your voice is welcome.

Notecards will be available for anonymous questions, and refreshments will be provided.

Admission is free and open to the public.

We hope you’ll join us as we explore one of the most significant conversations shaping the future of creativity.

Today is 209Gives, a countywide day of giving supporting local nonprofits across San Joaquin County, and it runs until 11:59 PM tonight (PST).

Many of these organizations are doing work quietly behind the scenes every day: supporting youth programs, arts education, food access, housing, animal rescue, community events, advocacy, and care for people throughout our region. Small nonprofits especially rely on community support to continue growing and serving others.

If there is an organization you care about, today is a great day to support them, even if it’s a small amount. Donations truly add up and make a difference locally.

You can browse participating nonprofits here: 209Gives Leaderboards

Please also consider sharing this so more people know it’s happening before the day ends.
