Since the opening of Brass, the sister restaurant of Alta Mesa, Sue and her husband, Randy, have celebrated special occasions, shared evenings out, and gathered friends for a casual meal. These moments are where the connection between Oehme Graphics and the restaurant grew. The day Oehme Graphics returned from the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair, Paul called Sue and asked her to curate a revolving exhibition for Alta Mesa. After their conversation, they agreed to create a distinct art installation, breaking in the new atmosphere and inviting conversation about the landscape to all those who come through.

Like the selected works, Alta mesa is an homage to the mountain and desert regions of the American Southwest. Combining ingredients and techniques first practiced by native peoples with Spanish colonial and new American influences, Alta Mesa celebrates and translates this rich heritage into a modern, sustainable form. Thrilled to work together, both Oehme Graphics and Alta Mesa celebrate a deep respect for the natural landscape and the abundant "flavor" of the Yampa Valley.
