Somerville Historical Museum Open July 5th🌻

Join us Sunday, July 5th from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM while the Somerville Farmer’s Market is happening!

Shop the market, then step inside the Somerville Historical Museum to explore treasures from the past. Bring the kids — they’ll enjoy seeing how people lived long ago and discovering pieces of local history!

The museum is also available for community special events. We recently welcomed the Lion Extension group and would love to host other clubs, schools, and organizations.

Come spend the day in downtown Somerville — history, hometown charm, and family fun all in one place! 🌿

The Somerville Historical Society held their meeting today with 8 members present.

Nominations were completed, and the 2026–2027 officers were elected and sworn in.

Vice-President: Maggie Orozco
Secretary: Milda Davis
Treasure: Jackie Rust

Congratulations to the new officers, and thank you to all who continue to support and preserve the history of our community.

The Somerville Historical Society will be completing nominations and voting on the nominations at our next meeting on Monday, May 11, at 4:15 p.m.

The Somerville Historical Museum was open on May 7 to welcome the 3rd and 4th grade students from Somerville Elementary School.

We truly enjoyed having the children visit the museum and hope they had a wonderful time learning about the history of Somerville and our community. Seeing young students explore, ask questions, and connect with the past is always a special experience for us.

Thank you to the teachers, staff, and students for visiting. We loved having you!
